Our Journey
Our Journey of Compassion Transforming Lives of Children Our mission began with a profound moment of realization on the streets, where children were begging or accompanying their parents to harsh work environments like construction sites, sugarcane farms, and brick-making facilities. These children came from migrant families constantly moving in search of work, surviving on the margins of society, visibly lacking basic necessities of safety, hygiene, and healthcare. Motivated by an unwavering commitment to change, we started our journey with a simple yet powerful approach - providing nourishing, home-cooked meals. This strategy was more than just about feeding hungry children. It was about building trust – the fundamental cornerstone of meaningful transformation. Our consistent efforts gradually earned the trust of more than 1500 children from the community from inception. Many came from deeply challenging backgrounds – some with single parents or families with complex social histories.

Kalashram
We rescue and support abandoned children, providing them with shelter, education, healthcare, and a safe, nurturing environment to thrive.
Caring Hands center for education
Caring Hands Center for Education is a Marathi medium school dedicated to providing inclusive, high-quality education and support for underprivileged children.
Naval taj dham (Elderly care center)
Naval-Taj Dham is a 50-bed residential care home offering personalized care, vibrant community, and dignity for seniors to age with joy and purpose.
Swayamsidha (Women empowerments and lively hood)
We offer support, refuge, and empowerment to women facing abuse through counseling, vocational training, and employment opportunities.
Swanand goshala (Cow shelter)
Our goshala provides a loving sanctuary for 18 cows, offering care, nutrition, and healthcare while promoting sustainability through organic farming, biogas, and traditional dairy products.
Mahadevi vidyalaya
Caring Hands provides quality education to tribal students in 8th to 10th grade through Mahadevi Vidyalaya, benefiting 62 students with a balanced focus on academics and extracurricular activities.
Seva kutir - Empowering young lives
Seva Kutir, located in Pali village, supports 42 boys from underprivileged backgrounds, providing quality education, vocational training, healthcare, and skill development for a brighter future.
Founder's Story
Ambadas Chavan became agitated upon witnessing the appalling conditions faced by tribal and nomadic populations in the Ahmednagar district, leading him to establish Caring Hands in 2015.
Despite coming from a relatively average home, he volunteered for an NGO in 2003 when he was 21 years old and had just finished his 12th grade education. He finished both his undergraduate and graduate studies in social work. He played a key role in the founding of numerous volunteer organizations during those times. Caring Hands is a new organization he founded in 2015 while working on a project with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
He uses a methodical strategy to accomplish the objectives for the advancement of society. Being a visionary, he founded numerous Caring Hands humanitarian projects that are helping the most vulnerable members of society. In a true sense, he is the motivation for Caring Hands.

Luckily we got in touch with the Caring Hands Organization in the year 2020 and since then we became part of the family. We founded an organization: “Hands for Caring Hands” in the USA along with two other like minded friends . We not only contribute in terms of fundraising but also try to value add in growing CSR associations, and building web presence and try to spend more time with the kids during our India visits. This gives us immense satisfaction and unparalleled joy and happiness!
